Headstand Workshop
Inversions can bring up lots of different emotions for people and that is a great a thing. We want to embrace what comes up, acknowledge what we feel and grow from it.
In the Headstand Workshop we focused on safety so that students feel supported and less fearful. We focused on strength with drills in order to teach how to enter and exit with control. We focused on empowerment and celebration, to cheer each other on and celebrate the fun of getting into a posture like headstand.
When we embrace all the emotions and the steps that go into learning something new or deeper, we have the opportunity to create a beautiful experience. It is like baking a cake, all of these ingredients separate are just what they are. It is when they are combined with care, measure and process we can create a delicious cake.
Our goal is to raise up the community and students that trust us with their practice. In the headstand workshop Elise was able to curate a 90 minute session that focused on the students exact needs. They had fun, they laughed and they cheered each other on as they met Headstand consistently over 90 minutes.
We would love to know what you your thoughts on Headstand and if there is anything you are working towards.
